1. Click [Setup...].
2. Select a unit of measure [inches], [mm].
3. Set custom paper size by entering values in the Width and
Height fields.
4. If desired, enable or disable HP Tray Emulation. If this feature
is enabled, the system automatically centers custom sized
stock in a manner that is similar to the HP product line. The
PCL is encoded to center the image. If this feature is disabled
(default), the DocuSP software orients the image to the side of
the stock.
5. If desired, enable or disable PJL. PJL (Printer Job Language)
contains code commands interpreted by the printer.
If PJL is enabled, PJL commands will be interpreted. If PJL is
disabled, PJL commands will be discarded.
Key features enabled for PJL data streams:
• Embedded PJL Plex
• Embedded PJL Custom sizes
DocuSP supports HP PJL. Key features are enabled for PJL
data streams and include:
• PJL Enter Language = PCL and PCL XL.
NOTE: Switching to PS is not currently supported.
• PJL Set Paper = Executive, Letter, A4, Legal, A3, Ledger,
Monarch, DL, C5, COM10, A5, Eurolegal, 14"x17", B5,
JISB4, JISB5, Hagaki, Ohagaki, ISOB4, and Custom.
PJL Set Duplex = Off, On
PJL Set Binding = Longedge, Shortedge
6. Enter a font number in the PCL Fonts field. The font number
indicates which font loaded on the controller will be used.
NOTE: To determine the font number of the available fonts,
select the Fonts tab in the Administration module, print a
sample of the PCL resident fonts, and use the list to check the
PCL font number.
7. Select from Internal, Soft, or Cartridge fonts.
• Internal: Indicates that the font is one of the resident fonts
loaded on the DocuSP controller at installation.
• Soft: Indicates that the font was downloaded and made
permanent.
• Cartridge: Indicates that the font was added to the
controller.
8. Choose a Symbol Set. The symbol set determines the font set
from which the default font will be selected. The available
symbol sets are available for the internal resident fonts only.
9. Enter the desired Point Size and Pitch.
