If the Device Type is Signature Booklet Maker the
option is System Specified.

– Minimum and Maximum Sheet Length indicates the
minimum and maximum sheet length that can be
processed by the finishing device.
– Minimum and Maximum Sheet Width indicates the
minimum and maximum sheet width that can be
processed by the finishing device.
NOTE: Sheets greater than 14.3 inches (or 363 mm) in
one dimension feed short edge first. Therefore, the larger
measurement for these stocks must be entered as the
width instead of the length.
– Minimum and Maximum Sheet Weight indicates the
minimum and maximum sheet weight that can be
processed by the finishing device.
– Minimum and Maximum Set Size indicates the
largest and smallest number of sheets that can be
processed by the device in a set (for example, sets of
pages that will be stapled or drilled together).
e. Select [OK] to save the new device profile. The Device
Profile dialog window closes, and the Device Setup dialog
window displays showing the new device name in the list.
4. Creating a finisher profile: Finisher profiles contain the
configuration settings of the finishing device that control
different capabilities of the finisher. An external finisher may
have more than one profile. Once you have set up the device
by creating a device profile, you can create one or more
finisher profiles for the device.
a. Perform one of the following within the External Finishers
field:
– To set up a new finishing profile, right-click in the
Device Setup window and select [New...].
– to change the profile, select an existing profile, right-
click, and select [Properties...].
The Finisher Profile dialog window opens, displaying the
Properties and Limits FAB.
• If you are creating a new profile, enter a name for
the profile. The name should be indicative of the
finishing device and the specific configuration the
profile specifies.
• If you are editing a profile the Name field is read-
only.
