a. Select [Set Monitor Off Mode].
b. Once enabled, the Time Delay field becomes active. Type
or use the slide bar to set the number of minutes that will
elapse before the monitor turns off.
3. You can select either or both [Low Power Mode] or [Sleep
Mode] by marking the corresponding checkbox. If both Low
Power Mode and Sleep Mode are selected, Sleep Mode will
not activate until the Low Power Mode timer has expired. To
designate the length of inactivity time that must elapse before
printer power saver starts. In the Low Power, and Sleep Mode
fields enter a number of minutes by typing the value or using
the slide bar. The maximum inactivity time period is located to
the right of the mode slide bars.
Low Power Mode: A reduced power consumption mode
entered after a specified period of system idleness. Low
Power Mode is terminated by print requests and certain
other system events.
Sleep Mode: Similar to Low Power Mode, but in this mode
the fuser and certain devices are completely powered off.
Sleep Mode is entered after a specified time in Low Power
Mode, or after a specified time idleness, if Low Power
Mode is disabled. Sleep Mode is terminated by print
requests and certain other system events.
NOTE: Click [Defaults] to return power saver settings to
default values.
4. Select [OK] to save your settings and exit the dialog window.
Using immediate Power Saver
The available options depend on printer configuration. To activate
the immediate Power Saver:
1. Select [Enter Low Power Mode] or [Enter Sleep Mode] from
the DocuSP Printer menu. A dialog window opens stating that
the Power Saver may be delayed if there are active jobs in the
system.
2. If you select [Yes] the printer will power off and enter the
assigned mode after all jobs have completed printing.
