PostScript Soft: Displays any fonts that have been loaded
on the controller by the System Administrator. PostScript
Soft fonts can be deleted from the controller.
PCL Resident: Displays all of the PCL fonts that are
loaded as part of the DocuSP installation and cannot be
deleted.
PCL Cartridge: Displays any PCL fonts that have been
loaded on the controller by the System Administrator. PCL
Cartridge fonts can be deleted from the controller.
Printing a list of PostScript and PCL resident fonts
A sample set of fonts currently loaded on the controller can be
printed.
NOTE: If you do not have a valid PostScript license, the system
will not contain PostScript fonts.
To print a list of fonts:
1. Select [PostScript/PDF/PCL Fonts...] from the Administration
menu.
2. Select [Print...].
3. Select a queue from the Queue pull-down menu.
4. Select a Sides Imaged from the pull-down menu.
5. Enter the number of sets to be printed in the Quantity field.
6. Select the Font Type:
[PostScript] or [PCL], to print a sample of all PostScript or
PCL fonts resident on the controller.
[All] to print a sample of all of the fonts on the controller
regardless of font type.
7. Select [OK].
Loading additional fonts on the controller
Additional fonts can be loaded onto the controller from media or a
UNIX directory. If the source is a UNIX directory, the directory
must be on a mounted file system accessible at the controller.
Fonts loaded on the controller must be in print-ready format. For
PostScript fonts ensure that the files are in .pfa,.pfb or regular
ASCII format. PCL5 fonts must be bitmap files that include only
font header and character data or in a format such as IntelliType
FAIS (Font Index File Style).
NOTE: If you do not have a valid PostScript license, the system
will not contain PostScript fonts.
To load additional fonts on the controller:
1. If the fonts are stored on media, insert the media into the
appropriate drive.
