controller running version 4.00.00 or higher software. The DocuSP
interface can be displayed on the workstation, allowing a System
Administrator or Operator to access the system for printer status,
job management, queue management, and administration
functions. Use Remote Workflow to determine how the system
handles connection attempts from client machines equipped with
the Remote Control Workflow application. The Remote Control
Workflow is a client-side application that allows a qualified user to
view and manipulate one or more Remote Workflow-enabled
DocuSP printer(s) from a client workstation.
For the Remote Control UI to work, a target printer must elect to
enable this feature in System Preferences.
To set preferences for the Remote Workflow on the controller:
1. Select [System Preferences...] from the Setup menu.
2. Select the Remote Workflow tab.
3. Choose from the following:
Disable All Connections: this selection disables all
remote connections to the DocuSP interface.
Enable All Connections: this selection allows all remote
connections to access the DocuSP interface.
Enable Specified Connections: this selection allows you
to enter specific IP addresses (Internet Protocol address)
that can access the DocuSP interface. An IP address is
the indentifier of a computer or device attached to a TCP/
IP network. IP addresses are written as four sets of
numbers separated by periods. An IP address of
14.145.112.34 is an example. For additional information,
see: Adding, editing and deleting IP Addresses and
Members
4. Within the Remote Workflow tab, select [Apply] to commit
changes and remain in the System Preferences dialog, or
select [OK] to commit changes and exit.
NOTE: After you have enabled specific IP addresses you can
then choose to either select Disable All Connections or Enable
All Connections. The IP addresses you set in Enable Specific
Connections are available when you again select it.
The following procedures detail how to edit and delete specified IP
addresses.
Editing IP addresses
To edit IP addresses:
1. Select [System Preferences...] from the Setup menu.
2. Select the Remote Workflow tab in the Preferences window.
3. Mark the [Enable Specified Connections] radio button to see
