3. Remote Control Commands

3.1 Command system

This instrument supports two command systems below. Before using this instrument, use COMMAND
of SYSTEM-REMOTE menu to select which command system is used.
- SCPI compliance (default)
It is the command system in accordance with SCPI which is widely used for instrument
control. It allows all functions of this instrument to be used.
- VOAC752 x series compliance
This command system is compatible with VOAC752x series; i.e. Iwatsu existing product. It
cannot use all functions of this instrument. Use it to divert the existing control program.

3.2 Message rules

For remote control of this instrument, the controller (computer) sends program messages according
to the format structure.
The remote commands used by this instrument conform to general-purpose interface bus (GPIB)
IEEE Std. 488.2. With regard to USB, LAN, and RS-232 interfaces as well, all applicable parts are
similar to the GPIB interface.

 Parameter choices are to enclose by brace "{}" and each choice is to punctuate by vertical bar
"|." Only one choice can be used from the choices. Both brace/vertical bar do not send as program
message.
