Connect to network

Before this instrument is connected to a network, a query for information must be sent to the network
administrator. If an incorrect address is specified for the network, unexpected operations may occur
both on the network and in this instrument.
Note) If the computer and this instrument are included in the different networks (i.e. not exist on the
same subnet), it is necessary to set the gateway correctly.
To check the physical connection between this instrument and a computer, perform the following
steps.
1. When a cable has not been connected, set the network connection settings correctly, and
turn OFF the power temporarily
2. Leave the power OFF and connect the cable.
Use a cable to connect to the network terminal such as a hub on this instrument or a
computer. This instrument has an Auto-MDIX function, and either a cross or straight cable
can be used for this connection.
3. Turn ON the power to this instrument.

Check IP connection

A "ping" command from the computer can be used to check connections on the IP network. This
command sends IP packets to the network equipment, and normal status of the IP network is
confirmed when the corresponding response is received.
The "ping" command can be used in a Windows or UNIX environment. In the case of Windows, enter
a command such as the following at the command prompt.
C:¥>ping 10.102.102.102 (  )
(  ) The arguments that follow "ping" in this command specify the network equipment whose
connection will be checked, so enter the IP address assigned to this instrument. In this input example,
"10.102.102.102" is used, but this part should be replaced to match the target use environment. Also,
