– Unscrew temperature sender 2 before particulate filter - G498-
-item 2- from particulate filter/main catalytic converter (left-
side).
Note
Ignore items marked -1-, -3- and -4-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Note
Fit all cable ties in the original positions when installing.
– Note correct installation position of temperature sender 2 be‐
fore particulate filter - G498- :
• Angle -α- = 36°
– Align exhaust system so it is free of stress
– Install subframe ⇒ Rep. gr. 40 .
Tightening torques

Exhaust pipe to centre bracket
Tunnel cross member to body

Coat thread with high-temperature paste; for high-temper‐
ature paste refer to ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue .
