8-cylinder TDI engine (4.2 ltr. 4-valve common rail), mechanics - Edition 12.2013
– Remove the two brackets for radiator -arrows-.
– Tilt top of radiator forwards slightly and lift out of lock carrier.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Note
Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be

free of oil and grease before assembly.
Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips

(same as original equipment) ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue .
– Connect coolant hose with plug-in connector to radiator
⇒ page 242 .
– Install front bumper ⇒ Rep. gr. 63 .
Note
Do not reuse coolant.
– Fill cooling system ⇒ page 216

Removing and installing radiator cowl

Removing
– Remove radiator ⇒ page 242
– Unplug electrical connector -arrow- going to radiator fans.
– Move wires clear at rear of lock carrier.
