8-cylinder TDI engine (4.2 ltr. 4-valve common rail), mechanics - Edition 12.2013
– Loosen clamp (right-side) -2-.
– Unscrew pressure pipe -4-.
– Unscrew nuts -1 ... 3- and -5-.
– Unbolt exhaust pipe (right-side) from starter catalytic converter
-arrows-.
– Remove exhaust pipe (right-side) (press stud of left bracket
for exhaust system to front).
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew gaskets and self-locking nuts.
– Align exhaust system so it is free of stress
Tightening torques
Component
Exhaust pipe to front exhaust pipe
Exhaust pipe to particulate filter/main catalytic
converter
Exhaust pipe to centre bracket
Pressure pipe

Renew nuts.
