♦ Used oil collection and extraction unit - V.A.G 1782- or -VAS

♦ Electric drill with plastic brush attachment

Removing
– Release fasteners -1-, -2- and -4- and take off noise insulation
panels.
– Position used oil collection and extraction unit below engine.
– Drain off engine oil.
– Remove engine ⇒ page 8
– Separate engine from gearbox
– Secure engine to engine stand
– Remove bolts -4- and -6-.
– Detach support for turbocharger.
– Remove bolts -2- and -5-.
– Remove oil return hose -1- from sump (centre section).
– Detach oil return line (left-side).
