Tighten bolts for subframe to final setting after performing
wheel alignment check.
– Check headlight adjustment ⇒ Maintenance ; Booklet 404 .
– Check fuel system for leaks
Tightening torques
Note
Tightening torques apply only to lightly greased, oiled,

phosphated or black-finished nuts and bolts.
Additional lubricant such as engine oil or gearbox oil may be
♦
used, but do not use lubricant containing graphite.
Do not use degreased parts.
♦
Tolerance for tightening torques: ± 15%.

Drive plate to torque converter
Gearbox mounting to subframe
Tunnel cross member to body
Gearbox support to gearbox
Propshaft heat shield to gearbox
Air pipe to engine cross member
Bracket for charge air cooler to body
Bracket for noise insulation to subframe
Coolant pipe to gearbox
Terminal B+ to starter
Terminal 50 to starter
Support for turbocharger
to:
Battery cable to fuse box
Hydraulic pressure pipe connection
Hose clips (9 mm wide)
Hose clips (13 mm wide)

Coat threads and contact surface with high-temperature
paste; for high-temperature paste refer to ⇒ Electronic parts
