– Unplug electrical connector -2- at oil temperature sender -
G8- .
– Unscrew oil temperature sender - G8- .
Note
Disregard -item 1-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Checking oil pressure

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Oil pressure tester - V.A.G 1342-
Procedure
• Oil level OK
• Engine oil temperature approx. 80 °C
– Remove oil temperature sender - G8-
– Connect oil pressure tester - V.A.G 1342- to threaded hole for
oil temperature sender - G8- .
– Screw used oil pressure switch into threaded hole for oil pres‐
sure tester - V.A.G 1342- to seal hole.
– Start engine.
• Minimum oil pressure at idling speed: 0.8 bar.
• Oil pressure at 2000 rpm: at least 2.5 bar.
Assembling
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
– Install oil temperature sender - G8-
