8-cylinder TDI engine (4.2 ltr. 4-valve common rail), mechanics - Edition 12.2013
– Detach hydraulic pressure pipe -1- going to steering rack.
– Seal off open lines and connections with clean plugs from en‐
gine bung set - VAS 6122- .
– Unplug electrical connector -2- going to charge pressure send‐
er - G31- .
– Detach electrical connector -3- (if fitted).
– Remove bolts -1- and -2-.
– Remove bracket and mounting for torque reaction support.
– Disconnect coolant hoses -1 ... 3-.
– Move coolant hoses to the side.

filter.
– Seal off open lines and connections with clean plugs from en‐
