♦ Locking pin - T40071-
Removing
– Release fasteners -1-, -2- and -4- and take off noise insulation
panels.
– Position used oil collection and extraction unit below engine.
– Drain off engine oil.
– Remove engine

– Separate engine from gearbox
– Secure engine to engine stand
– Remove timing chain covers

– Press tensioning rail in direction of -arrow- and lock chain ten‐
sioner by inserting locking pin - T40071- .
Note
Should you need to remove the chain sprocket for auxiliary drives,
you must first loosen the securing bolt before removing the chain.
– Mark running direction of chain for auxiliary drives with paint.
– Unscrew bolts -1 ... 3- and remove chain tensioner.
– Remove chain for auxiliary drives.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew bolts which are tightened to a specified angle as well as
seal.
– First fit chain for auxiliary drives.
– Fit chain tensioner to engine (fit top bolt first) and fit chain onto
guide rails (working from bottom to top).
