Audi A8 2003 ➤
8-cylinder TDI engine (4.2 ltr. 4-valve common rail), mechanics - Edition 12.2013
– Remove bolts -arrows-.
– Place drip tray for workshop hoist - VAS 6208- under engine.
– Pull off coolant pump housing forwards (note the drive shaft
for coolant pump).
– Remove drive shaft -arrow- for coolant pump from the guide
on oil pump.
– Remove bolts -3- and -4-.
– Remove coolant pump -1- from housing -2-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew seals and O-rings.

Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be

free of oil and grease before assembly.
Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips

Fit all cable ties in the original positions when installing.
