8-cylinder TDI engine (4.2 ltr. 4-valve common rail), mechanics - Edition 12.2013
– Remove bolts -2- and -3-.
– Remove vacuum pump.
Note
Disregard -item 1-.
– Remove electrical connector for exhaust gas temperature
sender 1 - G235- from bracket.
– Remove bolts -1 ... 4- and detach timing chain cover (right-
side).
– Remove bolts -1 ... 4- and detach timing chain cover (left-side).
– Remove circlip -2-.
– Pull out adapter -1- for oil seal.
– Press oil seal out of adapter.
– Loosen bolted connections for turbocharger (left-side)
