❑ Make sure it engages in retaining frame
❑ Measuring axial clearance of crankshaft
9 - Bearing shell
❑ For retaining frame (without oil groove)
❑ Renew used bearing shells
❑ Install new bearing shells for retaining frame with correct coloured markings: version I

10 - Bearing bush for torque converter
❑ Ensure proper fitting in crankshaft
11 - Dowel pin
❑ For drive plate
❑ Check that pin is firmly seated in crankshaft
12 - Thrust washer
❑ Only fitted on 4th crankshaft bearing
❑ Oil grooves face outwards
❑ Measuring axial clearance of crankshaft
13 - Bearing shell
❑ For cylinder block (with oil groove)
❑ Renew used bearing shells
❑ Install new bearing shells for the cylinder block with the correct coloured markings

Installing retaining frame
– Renew bolts -1 ... 20-.
– Tighten bolts for retaining frame as follows:
1. Tighten bolts to 30 Nm using torque wrench.
2. Tighten bolts to 50 Nm using torque wrench.

Turn bolts 90° ( / 4 turn) further using a rigid wrench.
