Controllo traferro
sensore motore
Nel caso si sia provveduto alla
sostituzione dell'alternatore, del
coperchio alternatore o del sensore
stesso, è necessarrio procerere alla
C
B verifica del traferro come di seguito
riportata.
Rimuovere il tappo a vite (B) che
chiude il foro di ispezione sul
semicarter sinistro.
Introdurre dal foro la lama di uno
spessimetro (A), posizionandola tra
l'estremità del sensore (8) e la corona
dentata dell'ingranaggio rinvio
distribuzione.
Verificare che il gioco presente risulti
0,75÷0,95 mm.
In caso contrario allentare la vite (1) di
fissaggio sensore (8), in modo da
riuscire a sfilare lo spessore (9) e a
sostituirlo con uno di spessore
idoneo.

La particolare forma dello
spessore (9) consente di poter sfilare
il particolare anche con coperchio
pompa acqua montato, senza

dover rimuovere il sensore (8).
Sono disponibili tre spessori
identificati da colori diversi come
illustra la figura.
Serrare la vite (1) alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
Rimontare il tappo (B) con
guarnizione (C) e bloccarlo alla
coppia prescritta (Sez. C 3).

Checking the engine
sensor air gap
If the alternator, alternator cover or
the sensor itself has been replaced,
the airgap must be checked as
follows.
Remove the screw plug (B) from the
LH crankcase inspection hole.
Insert a feeler gauge (A) through the
hole, positioning it between the end
of sensor (8) and the timing belt
driveshaft gear.
Check that the air gap is 0.75 to
0.95 mm.
If not, slacken off the screw (1)
securing the sensor (8) so as to
extract the shim (9) and replace it
with one of suitable thickness.
Notes
The particular shape of the
shim (9) means that it can be
removed even with the water pump
fitted, without having to remove the
sensor (8). There are three different
shims available, and these can be
identified by their colours, as shown
in the figure.
Tighten the screw (1) to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3).
Refit the plug (B) with the seal (C)
and tighten to the specified torque
(Sect. C 3).
