Sincronizzazione cilindri
Note Regolazione minimo
Il minimo non necessità di
alcuna regolazione in quanto è lo
stepper motor che lo regola
automaticamente.
Collegare il cavo Modulo Misure (3) al
connettore Modulo Misure del DDS
(rif. paragrafo "Descrizione dello
strumento di diagnosi"). Collegare,
indifferentemente, ai connettori (A)
e (C) del cavo (3) il sensore (4) e il
sensore (5). Collegare al sensore (4) e
al sensore (5) i tubi depressione/
pressione (6) e a questi i raccordi (7).
Accendere lo strumento DDS
facendo riferimento al paragrafo
"Alimentazione dello strumento".
Entrare nella funzione "Modulo
misure". Premere l'icona
"Sincronizzazione cilindri".
Nella schermata viene indicata con
una lettera maiuscola quali prese
utilizzare del cavo (Modulo Misure) (3):
A, B oppure C. Rimuovere le viti (19)
sui collettori di aspirazione e montare i
raccordi (7) nella sede delle viti
rimosse. Chiudere completamente le
viti (20) di by-pass. Premere l'icona
"Start" per avviare la procedura di

rilevamento pressione nei cilindri.
Nella videata, compare l'indicatore (E)
che diventa rosso quando la funzione
è attiva. Avviare la moto. Esistono due
tipi di visualizzazione dei valori: in
forma numerica ed in forma grafica,
per selezionare una tipologia o l'altra,
premere l'icona "Visualizzazione
valori" (F). Si ottiene il bilanciamento
quando le due linee del grafico si

sovrappongono oppure quando i due
valori indicati sono uguali. È possibile
effettuare l'azzeramento dei valori,
premendo l'icona "Reset". Nel caso
non vi sia bilanciamento agire sulla
vite di by-pass (20) del cilindro dove
si rileva la depressione minore
(valore più alto) allentandola
leggermente (1/4 di giro) fino ad
ottenere l'allineamento delle linee
grafiche, nel caso si sia scelto la
visulizzazione grafica, o uguali valori
numerici nel caso sia scelto la
visualizzazione numerica.
Note
In caso di sostituzione del corpo
farfallato, potenziometro o centralina
controllo motore, bisogna effettuare
l'azzeramento del potenziometro
farfalla (TPS): fare riferimento alla
procedura "azzeramento farfalla

(TPS)".
Cylinder synchronisation
Notes Idle speed
adjustment
Idle speed is automatically controlled
by the stepper motor and thus
requires no adjustment.
Connect the Measurement
Module cable (3) to the Measurement
Module connector on the DDS (see
paragraph "Description of the Ducati
Diagnostic System instrument").
Connect the sensors (4) and (5) to the
connectors (A) and (C) of the cable (3)
(either way round). Connect the
negative pressure/pressure pipes (6)
to the sensors (4) and (5) and connect
the fittings (7) to the pipes.
Switch on the DDS tester; see the
paragraph "Tester Power Supply".
Enter the "Measurement module"
function. Press the "Cylinder
synchronisation" icon. The socket
to which the Measurement Module
cable (3) is to be connected is
indicated on the screen with a
capital letter: A, B or C. Remove the
screws (19) on the intake manifolds
and install the fittings (7) in their
place. Close the by-pass screws (20)
completely. Press the "Start" icon
to begin the cylinder pressure
measurement procedure.
The onscreen indicator light (E) will
turn red when the function is active.
Start the engine. The values may be
displayed in two different ways: in
numerical form or in graphic form; to
select the desired display type, press
the "Value display" icon (F). Correct
balancing is obtained when the two
lines of the graph are superimposed
or when the two numerical values
indicated are equal. The values can be
reset by pressing the "Reset" icon.
If the cylinders are not balanced, turn
the by-pass screw (20) of the cylinder
with the lowest negative pressure
(the highest value) backing it off
slightly (1/4 turn at a time) until the
two lines on the graph coincide, or
until identical numerical values are
displayed, if numerical display is
selected.
Notes
In case of renewal of the
throttle body, throttle position sensor
or engine ECU, the throttle position
sensor (TPS) will have to be reset:
refer to the procedure "Resetting the
throttle position sensor (TPS)".
