Utilizzare un estrattore universale
(del tipo raffigurato) per rimuovere
l'anello interno (A) e il distanziale (8)
dal perno di sterzo, facendo molta
attenzione a non rovinare la sede.
Importante
Gli anelli di tenuta (4) e (7) e i
cuscinetti (5) e (6) rimossi non vanno
più rimontati.
Rimuovere gli anelli esterni (C) dei
cuscinetti dal cannotto utilizzando un
punzone adeguato e facendo molta
attenzione a non rovinare le sedi.

Importante
I cuscinetti (5) e (6) del cannotto
sono uguali ma è necessario evitare
assolutamente di scambiarne i
componenti.

Pulire accuratamente e lubrificare con
grasso prescritto le superfici di
contatto.
Per il montaggio degli anelli esterni (C)
dei cuscinetti (5) e (6) sul cannotto
del telaio è necessario disporre
dell'attrezzo 88713.1062; procedere

nel modo seguente:
scaldare il cannotto a 150 °C;
F
posizionare correttamente gli anelli
esterni (C) nelle sedi del cannotto;
inserire nell'anello inferiore la bussola
fissa (E), quella con foro filettato,
dell'attrezzo;
inserire nell'estremità superiore
dell'asta dell'attrezzo, l'altra bussola
mobile (F) e portarla in battuta
sull'anello del cuscinetto superiore;
avvitare il dado (G) e con chiave
portare in battuta gli anelli esterni (C)
sul cannotto del telaio;
lasciare montato l'attrezzo fino al
raffreddamento del cannotto per
E
garantire l'appoggio dei cuscinetti
nelle sedi.
Using a universal puller (see figure)
remove the inner race (A) and the
spacer (8) from the steering stem,
taking care not to damage the seat.
Important
Once disturbed, oil seals (4)
and (7) and bearings (5) and (6) must
not be refitted.
Using a suitable drift, remove the
outer bearing races (C) from the
steering head. Proceed with extreme
care to avoid damaging the seats.
Refitting the steering
head components
Important
The steering head bearings (5)
and (6) are identical but in no case
may their components be swapped
around during reassembly.
Clean all contact surfaces and
lubricate with the recommended
grease.
To fit the outer races (C) of the
bearings (5) and (6) to the steering
head, use the special tool part
no. 88713.1062 and proceed as
follows:
heat the steering head to 150 °C;
fit the outer races (C) in their seats on
the steering head;
fit the fixed bush (E), with threaded
hole, of the tool into the lower race;
Fit the other movable bush (F) into the
upper end of the tool and drive it fully
home against the upper bearing race.
Tighten the nut (G) and use a wrench
to seat the outer rings (C) fully in the
steering head;
leave the tool assembled until the
steering head has cooled down to
ensure that bearings are properly
seated.
