5. Carefully insert the end of the hose into the empty developer mix bottle and
put the bottle on the floor.
Note: The empty developer mix bottle stays in the machine at all times.
Ensure that the hose is inserted securely and that no sharp bends obstruct the
hose.
Important:
a. Never open the developer drain unless the developer drain hose is
inserted into an empty developer mix bottle.
b. After you have opened and closed the developer drain, you must replace
the developer mix. Opening the drain resets the developer mix usage
timer. Resetting the timer without changing the developer mix could result
in severe print quality problems caused by the developer mix being used
beyond its normal life.
