There are two patient connections P1 and P2 on the back of the Guardian 6100 Plus.
Patient Leakage can be measured from patient connection P2 to earth ground. This test is
performed identical to enclosure leakage current.
The tests can be performed with any of 4 different mains conditions. These conditions
are:
All conditions can be performed with the ground switch S7 open or closed.
These measurement can be made under any combination of normal and single fault
conditions outlined in Clause 19.2 a). These are same conditions as those outline for
earth and enclosure leakage current above. No provisions have be made for testing to
Clause 19.2 b) and c) which requires the application of a voltage equal to 110% of the
highest rated mains voltage between earth ground and any signal input or output
connection not protectively earthed.
