Removal And Replacement Procedures

Gear, Ribbon Drive, Final

1. Prepare the printer for maintenance (page 223).

2. Remove the appropriate retaining E-ring securing the final ribbon drive

gear to the spindle shaft. (Figure 46, page 268, items 2 and 3.)

3. Remove the final ribbon drive gear from the spindle shaft.

Installation

1. Reverse the steps of the removal procedure.

2. Restore the printer to operation (page 224).
