Explanation
The printer found a defective
memory location.
The printer encountered an
error trying to program flash
memory.
The printer has detected a 203
DPI printhead installed, with
IPDS software downloaded.
NOTE: IPDS software supports
only the 300 DPI
printhead.
The printer could not find any
DRAM.
The printer requires more
DRAM memory in order to run
the downloaded program.

Solution
1. Reseat or replace DRAM
SIMM at J33.
2. Replace Controller PCBA.
Write down the message
and return it with the
defective board.
1. Download the emulation
software again.
2. If the message reappears,
replace the Flash SIMM.
3. Download the emulation. If
the message reappears,
replace the controller
PCBA. Write down the
message and return it with
the defective board.
Power off the printer and
replace the 203 DPI printhead
with a 300 DPI printhead.
Reseat or replace the DRAM
SIMM at J33. If the message
reappears, replace the
controller PCBA. Write down
the message and return it with
the defective board.
1. Install a 16MB DRAM SIMM
at J33.
2. If the message reappears,
replace the controller
PCBA. Write down the
message and return it with
the defective board.
