The General Purpose Serial Interface connector provides a General Purpose Serial
Interfaces (GPSI) for the system. The GPSI also provides communications between an
optional holdover clock system and the rest of the system.

B.2 Extension Shelf
The extension shelf backplane provides connectors for 18 circuit cards. These connectors
are four column High Density Interconnect (HDI) male headers with shrouds of varying pin
quantities depending on card position. The reverse or component side of the backplane
contains DB style connectors for interfacing to the rest of the system.
