You should inventory spare cables from the kit and the existing multirack cables. Each Exalogic machine includes a kit of spare parts. Some spare cables are used for multirack cabling.

    Before you can set up the multirack cabling, you must first shut down the affected Exalogic machines and Exadata Database Machines. Consider the operational impact of shutting down the systems, and take appropriate action.
