The BCC Structure

The Bay Command Console (BCC
advanced user of Nautica Series routers. It is accessed initially
from the manager port using the cable provided (see printed
Nautica 4000 Installation Guide), or over a Telnet connection (for
example, MSTelnet or Hyperterminal).
Once the router has been accessed, the following screen will
appear:
There are three attempts to enter the correct password. If the
password entered is correct and is not accepted, check that CAPS
Lock is turned either on or off and enter the password again.
Warning:
The Password is case sensitive.
The default password here is PASSWORD.
If after three attempts you fail to enter the correct password, you
will have to re-access the router and try again.
The BCC is a command line interface, based around a directory
tree (see
Figure
3-1). At the top of the tree is the BCC mode,
beneath this are the contexts (directories), within the contexts are
configured objects, and within the configured objects are the
object attributes.
To move into the top context, also known as the configuration
level of BCC, type:
