NauticaRS Release 4.1 Reference Guide
2-10
Use the DCONFIG command at the Release 3.5
command prompt to dump and ASCII representation of
your configuration to a terminal emulation program and
capture this to a file.
If you are running a version of software prior to release
3.5, you need to run a program called CONVERT.EXE
to upgrade this file to a release 3.5 configuration file.
When you have a configuration file that is compatible
with release 3.5, run the CONVBCC.EXE utility to
convert this file to a BCC (release 4.1) configuration
file.
3.
Entering Marlin Bootmode
Do not issue the BOOTMODE command from the Nautica
command prompt as this erases the router image, which
leaves the router without an operational image. Instead, enter
bootmode state by using the Front Panel display.
Press and hold the ENTER button on the Front Panel
display while powering on the unit. The Marlin beeps to
acknowledge bootmode. After the power up memory test
is complete, the Marlin Front Panel display reads
"Ready 4MB" followed by the time and loader version.
4.
Erase the old configuration
As the new router code is larger than the existing code, the
configuration sector has moved. It is essential that the old
configuration is erased before attempting to load any new
router code.
From the Front Panel display, select "ERASE
CONFIGURATION" by pressing the DOWN arrow
button four times and the ENTER button once. The
display reads "ARE YOU SURE", press ENTER once.
5.
Download the new Marlin Bootloader
With the Marlin in bootmode and the Front Panel display
reading "Ready 4Mb", execute the following command from
a DOS prompt:
117237-C Rev. A
