OSPF is setup primarily on the paths that interface the ABRs to
the various areas. As an example, the following figure looks at the
link between Areas 0 (the backbone) and Area 2.

OSPF Paths are set up on the Area Border Router, in this case
Router B. There has to be at least two paths (in addition to
LAN01) that can see both areas.
Path B1
Path B1 travels from Router B into Area 0. It can have any
relevant Path Type (see page 4-5), but several attributes must be
set:
