NauticaRS Release 4.1 Reference Guide
Parameter:
MTC:
Default:
Options:
Function:
Instructions:
7-26
If no path is found for the incoming number, the
receiving unit challenges the sending unit to identify
itself. The sending unit responds with its NodeID
and its passwords. The receiving unit matches the
NodeID against a path name and then matches the
passwords. If no match is found the call is dropped;
if the passwords do match, the call is accepted.
Force: With Force set as the value for CLI, an
incoming call must match against an ISDN number
set up on a path in the receiving unit. If no match is
made the call is immediately dropped. If a match is
found then authentication will take place.
MSN
ms
(Blank)
A valid MSN
MSN is an option you buy from your service provider.
Specifying an MSN in this field limits incoming data
calls to this number only. Data calls coming in on any
other number are ignored by the unit.
The format of the MSN specified here is also dependent
on your service provider. Some providers require that
the entire number is entered (for example 202036);
others require only the MSN itself (for example 6 or 06).
You must check with your service provider as to how
they require MSNs to be entered.
Caution:
If an MSN is entered here, subaddressing cannot be
used.
