NAT Entries
nat# new ent wat1/21

Static NAT table entries, defined by the user, are used to map
incoming packets to a destination on the internal network. They
are only required if you have servers or machines that need to be
reached from outside.
Dynamic NAT table entries are created automatically. Therefore,
if you only have clients behind the NAT gateway, you most likely
do not need to define any static NAT table entries.
Caution:
As the NAT mechanism is designed to translate IP
addresses and TCP/UDP ports at the TCP/IP layer, it is not
possible to attach remote PCs to a Microsoft network using
TCP/IP as the main protocol.
To create a new NAT entry, at the nat# prompt use the following
syntax:
verb ent pathname/ext-port
Where
is the verb to be used with this NAT entry (NEW,
verb
MOD, DEL),
ent
of a path to which this NAT connection is made and
the number of the external port to which the path connects.
For example, to create a NAT entry that will attach to an FTP
server on a path called WAT1, the following is typed:
Once created, BCC moves into the NAT configured object:
is the MTC for ENTry,
is the name
pathname
ext-port
