A valid mask in hexadecimal notation
Allows you to specify exactly which part of the frame
(specified by the offset and length) you want to match.
For example, within the byte shown below, we only
want to match on the first bit (shown in red):
Masks are entered in hexadecimal notation. As shown in
the example, the portion of this byte that we want to
match is in position 8. The hexadecimal value for this
mask is 80.
In the next example, we want to match the values in
positions 8 and 1 in the first half of the byte and
positions 4 and 2 in the second half:
The mask entered here (in hexadecimal) is 96. 8+1 in the
first half is 9 and 4+2 is 6.
