Dem-Period
dem-p
10
A number of seconds from 0 to 4294967
Set in seconds, this parameter is associated with the
Demand Threshold and Idle Threshold. The parameter
specifies the time for which the Demand (or Idle)
threshold must be met in order to bring a link up (or
down).
For example, Demand Threshold is set to 80% and
Demand Period to 30 seconds. If a call is made to an ISP
and large files are downloaded, a call request for extra
bandwidth will be made to the ISP when the utilization
exceeds 80% for longer than 30 seconds.
Idle-Thresh-PC
id
0
The percentage utilization below which a switched call
is classed as idle and a single additional channel is
closed
The default here is 0, although the figure should be
non-zero if Bandwidth on Demand is used. This
parameter is related to the Dem-Period parameter.
Note:
The value entered here should be half that of the
Dem-Thresh-PC value.
