Using the ISDN Callback Function

Calback allows extra security on a unit. If a call comes into the
unit from an ISDN CLI, the unit will disconnect the incoming call
and place a call to the path or IP address shown in the ISDN
Callback. Callbacks save on cost because all ISDN callback calls
are billed centrally and controlled by this unit.
Callback numbers are defined at the
assigned to a path or an IP address.
When you first install the router there are no callbacks created.
Once you have made some callbacks, it is possible to list them.
At the
prompt type
isdn#
appears:
The list shows the callback number and the path to which it is
assigned. When a call arrives from the specified number we drop
the call and place a call to the specified path or IP address.

Creating Callbacks

To make a callback, use the following syntax at the
prompt:
new ca number/[path or IP address]
For example, to create a callback for a remote user with a
telephone number of 01234567890 and attach it to a path called
wat1, the following is typed:
context and then
isdn#
. A list similar to the following
lso -l
isdn#
