DTC Troubleshooting (cont'd)
12. Check for continuity between the No. 3 and the
No. 7 terminals of SRS unit connector A (39P), and
between the No. 4 and the No. 8 terminals. There
should be no continuity.

YES
NO −
(see page 24-223).
13. Disconnect the driver's airbag 4P connector from
the cable reel (see step 2 on page 24-33).
14. Check for continuity between the No. 3 and the
No. 7 terminals of SRS unit connector A (39P), and
between the No. 4 and the No. 8 terminals. There
should be no continuity.

15. Remove the column cover (see page 20-167), then
disconnect the dashboard wire harness 4P
connector (A) from the cable reel.
16. Check for continuity between the No. 3 and the
No. 7 terminals of SRS unit connector A (39P), and
between the No. 4 and the No. 8 terminals. There
should be no continuity.

Is there continuity?

YES Short in the dashboard wire harness; replace
the dashboard wire harness.
NO − Short in the cable reel; replace the cable reel
(see page 24-220).
