DTC Troubleshooting (cont'd)
DTC B2-2x, B2-3x, B2-8x, B2-9x, B2-Ax, B2-Bx
(''x'' can be 0 thru 9 or A thru F):
Failure of the Rear Safing Sensor
NOTE: Before doing this troubleshooting procedure,
review SRS Precautions and Procedures (see page
24-23) and General Troubleshooting Information
(see page 24-35).
1. Clear the DTC memory (see page 24-36).
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10
seconds.
3. Read the DTC (see page 24-36).
Is DT C B2-2x, B2-3x, B2-8x, B2-9x, B2-Ax, or
B2-Bx indicated?
YES − Faulty rear safing sensor; replace the rear
safing sensor (see page 24-229).
NO − Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this
time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures
(see page 24-37). If another DTC is indicated,
troubleshoot the DTC.

DTC Ex-11 (''x'' can be 0 thru 9 or A thru F):

NOTE:
• Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review
SRS Precautions and Procedures (see page 24-23)
and General Troubleshooting Information (see page
24-35).
• 2-door: Before replacing the SRS unit, check the SRS
unit software version with the HDS. If the software
version is not the latest, update the SRS unit software
(see page 24-38) and retest.
1. Clear the DTC memory (see page 24-36).

3. Read the DTC (see page 24-36).
Is DT C Ex-11 indicated?
YES −
(see page 24-223).

NO
time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures

troubleshoot the DTC.
