• Selection of function
For master/slave mode communication, select the operation mode and the data transfer mode, as shown
in Table 12-16.

• Communication procedure
Communications start when the master CPU transmits the address data. The address data, which A/D bit
is 1, selects the slave CPU which is a communication destination. Each slave CPU determines the
address data by the program, and when the slave CPU matches the allocated address, it communicates
with the master CPU.
Figure 12.22 shows the flowchart of the master/slave mode communications (multiprocessor mode).
