8.9 Port 7

Port 7 is a general-purpose I/O port that serves both as a resource input and output. Each pin can be
switched between the resource and the port by the bit. The function as a general-purpose I/O port is mainly
explained here. The configuration, pins, block diagram of the pins, and registers for port 7 are shown below.
n Configuration of port 7
Port 7 consists of the following three elements:
• General-purpose I/O pins, resource I/O pins (P70/PWM1P0 to P77/PWM2M1)
• Port 7 data register (PDR7)
• Port 7 direction register (DDR7)
n Pins of port 7
The I/O pins of the port 7 also serve as resource I/O pins, so when using a pin of port 7 as a resource I/O
pin, it cannot be used as a general-purpose I/O port. Table 8-27 shows the pins of port 7.
