Replacement
When installing the gear on the shaft, take care not to damage the one-way clutch in the centre
of the gear.
Before tightening the motor screws, adjust the position of the motor so that there is a very
small amount of backlash between the gears.
1.
The replacement is the reverse of the removal procedure. Refer to
the screws.
2.
If a new transport roll has been installed, reset the tray 3/4 feeds count to zero in the HFSI
feature screen. Refer to
GP 17
High Frequency service Items.

Removal
Switch off the electricity to the machine,
customer supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can
cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
Take care during this procedure. Sharp edges may be present that can cause injury.

Remove the tray 3 paper feed assembly,

Remove tray 3 stack height sensor,

Disconnect the harness.
Replacement
Replacement is the reverse of the removal procedure. Install a new sensor shim to lock the
sensor in place.
