Fuel Tank Removal and Installation

Removal
WARNING
!
• Keep away from fire or spark.
• Spilled gasoline should be wiped off
immediately.
• Work in a well-ventilated area.
1) Remove the seat. Refer to "Exterior Parts Removal
and Installation in Section 9D (Page 9D-5)".
2) Remove the fuel tank mounting bolt.
3) Lift and support the fuel tank.
4) Place a rag under the fuel feed hose and disconnect

the fuel feed hose (1).
CAUTION
!
When removing the fuel tank, do not leave
the fuel feed hose (1) on the fuel pump side.
5) Disconnect the fuel tank breather hose (2).
6) Disconnect the fuel pump lead wire coupler (3).

7) Disconnect the pilot lamp lead wire coupler (4).
