• Temporally install the cam chain sprockets and align
the arrow marks on the front and rear camshafts so it
is parallel with the surface of the cylinder heads.
NOTE
Each arrow mark points to forward, when the
rear piston is at TDC.
• Engage the cam chain with the camshaft sprocket.

"A": Forward
• Install the lock washer so that it is covering the
locating pin.
• Apply THREAD LOCK SUPER "1303" to the bolts and
tighten them to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Cam chain sprocket bolt (a): 15 N·m (1.5 kgf-m,
11.5 lbf-ft)
: Thread lock cement 99000–32030
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1303 or
equivalent)

• Bend up the washer tongue positively to lock the
bolts.

• After tightening the bolt, align the "R I T" line "A" on
the generator with the index marks "B" of the timing
inspection hole.
