STEP
• Disconnect PCM.

5.0 ohms?
• Check LPS PID value.

24 Engine stalls when shifted to D, S, L ranges, or in R position
• Engine stalls when shifting from N or P position to D, S, L ranges or R position at idle.
DESCRIPTION
• The malfunction is on the engine control side (i.e. IAC system). Otherwise, the malfunction is in the

CAUSE input/turbine speed sensor (engine sometimes starts) or TCC circuit (engine always stalls).
Diagnostic procedure

• Go to symptom troubleshooting No.10 "Low

• Engine stalls when brake pedal is depressed while driving at low speed or stopping.
