Syntax
port-security timer disableport time-value
undo port-security timer disableport

Parameters
time-value: Silence timeout during which the port remains disabled, in seconds. It ranges from 20 to
300.
Description
Use the port-security timer disableport command to set the silence timeout during which the port
remains disabled.
Use the undo port-security timer disableport command to restore the default.
By default, the silence timeout is 20 seconds.
If you configure the intrusion protection policy as disabling the port temporarily whenever it receives an
illegal frame, you can use this command to set the silence period.
Related commands: display port-security.
