NOTES: 1) You can still adjust a direct slide bar as usual if the display is turned OFF (see OSD or Menu
Preferences menu) — the slide bar won't be visible. 2) A direct slide bar disappears if it is not used within five
seconds.
Check boxes: A conditions is present if its adjacent check box contains a
checkmark. To toggle the check box, highlight and press E
and use R arrow key to check and L

box is numbered, enter its number to immediately toggle the check box.
Drop-down lists: To see a list of options available for a given parameter:
• Highlight the list and press E
• Enter the menu option number
• Use the U arrow key or D

option from the list.
• To quickly scroll through a list without first pulling it down, highlight the option and use L
R arrow key. Press E

3.2.5 Editing Text

Activate the Edit Window: To enter or edit text, highlight the desired parameter (such as a channel name) and
press E to activate its adjacent edit window. Any previously entered text is displayed with its first

character highlighted in a square cursor, signifying that this character is ready for editing.
Navigate Within the Edit Window: Press R

Edit a character: To edit a highlighted character, use U
and D arrow key to scroll through the alphabet, numbers, spaces

and punctuation available. When the character you need is highlighted,
press R arrow key to select it. The cursor will move to the next

available character of current text.
Change Case: To convert a lower case letter to a capital letter, position on the letter and press F
by the U arrow key simultaneously. To convert a capital letter into a lower case letter, position on the letter

Add or Delete a Character or Space: To insert a space at the cursor location, press F
arrow key simultaneously. To delete a highlighted character (or space), press F
