13.4 DUPLEX ENTRANCE TO DUPLEX TRAY

139 ms after the leading edge of the copy paper actuates the fusing exit
sensor, the duplex feed motor [A] starts turning. This rotation is transmitted to
the duplex feed rollers [B] and the duplex entrance rollers [C]. 63 ms after
that, the duplex turn gate solenoid [D] is energized to rotate the duplex turn
gate [E].
Then the copy paper from the turn guide section is directed to the duplex tray
through the duplex entrance rollers and the duplex turn gate sensor [F],
which is monitored by the CPU to detect misfeeds.
The tip of the flip mylar [G] moves to the left (front view) when the duplex
feed rollers rotate to feed the copy into the duplex tray. The mylar presses
the copy against the duplex stack rollers [H], ensuring that the trailing edge of
the copy clears the guide plate.
