5.1 OVERVIEW

The erase lamp unit consists of a line of LEDs extending across the full width
of the drum.
The erase lamp unit has four functions: lead edge erase, trail edge erase,
side erase, and pattern erase.
This copier has two types of erase lamp unit. One is a standard type with 31
blocks (48 LEDs). The other is an edit type with 120 blocks (120 LEDs) which
should be used when the editor board is installed.
