6.5 DEVELOPMENT BIAS CONTROL
The base development bias voltage for image is –160 V. However, it differs
depending on the modes and correction factors (see the process control
section).
6.5.1 Manual ID Correction

When the image density is selected by the manual image density keys on the
operation panel, the development bias voltage is changed as shown in the
above table.
The image density for each manual ID level is also controlled by the
exposure lamp voltage and the grid bias voltage.
The manual ID correction for the development bias voltage is applied to
levels 1, 6, and 7.
The development bias for level 7 can be adjusted by SP mode #46 (highlight
bias) to meet customer requests.
