Description
Enters the content of the fast Ethernet Interface.
Changes the encapsulation to PPPoE.
You must change the encapsulation to PPPoE before
configuring an IP address on the interface.
Configures an IP address and subnet mask for the interface.
In most cases, PPPoE tunnels require a 32-bit subnet mask.
Obtains an IP address via PPP/IPCP negotiation. You cannot
configure PPP/IPCP address negotiation if DHCP address
negotiation is already configured on the interface.
Configures a PAP authentication method.
Authentication parameters do not appear in the startup or
running configuration files.
Configures a CHAP authentication method.
Authentication parameters do not appear in the startup or
running configuration files.
Used to view authentication status.
Stores authentication parameters in NVRAM.
Forces the PPPoE client to connect only to access
concentrators that support a specific service name.
Use the no form of this command to deactivate connection to
a specific service name. When connection to a specific service
name is deactivated, the PPPoe client attempts to
automatically discover the service name by initiating PADI
frames with a blank service name.
