4) Remove 2 brushes, which coming from yoke from its braket by
holding spring by long nose pliers or like. Then remove brush
holder from armature.
5) Remove yoke, armature and drive lever.
6) Loosen pinion stop ring (1) fixed by snap ring (2).
7) Remove snap ring, and then pull out pinion stop ring and over-
running clutch (3).
INSPECTION
ARMATURE
D Inspect commutator for dirt or burn. Correct with sandpaper or
lathe, if necessary.

D Check commutator for uneven wear with armature (1) supported
on V blocks (2). If deflection of dial gauge pointer exceeds limit,
repair or replace.
NOTE:
Below specification presupposes that armature is free from
bend. Bent shaft must be replaced.
Commutator out of round
D Inspect commutator (1) for wear. If diameter is below limit, replace
armature.
Commutator outside reference diameter
Standard: 0.05 mm (0.0019 in.) or less
Limit: 0.4 mm (0.015 in.)
Standard: 30.0 mm (1.18 in.)
Limit: 29.5 mm (1.16 in.)
